Fourth of July, blue skies, old cars, good friends, pancake breakfast, and a country drive. That all adds up to the annual Model T Club Tour to Sveadal. Always one of our most popular tours, this year was no exception. Four T's, three A's, two Lincolns, a Pierce Arrow, and a couple moderns gathered at the starting point in Almaden. Thirty seven people enjoyed the trek through the countryside and up to Sveadal. There were already some antique cars there from the South Valley club, lots of iron to look at. The pancake area was decorated with red white and blue banners, bunting, table-clothes and flags. Ham and eggs, pancakes and watermelon and did I mention mimosas and bloody marys? Breakfast in the trees, inspecting all the cars, catching up with old friends, that is Sveadal. At least three driving patches were earned, and it was good to see Dan Erceg on the road again and I wish my engine sounded as good as Malcom Park's. Sveadal is always a family affair. Four generations of Jorgensens attended and three generations of Christensens. Troed brought a T that belonged to his great grandfather in the twenties, redone and looking good. Good day all around, thank you to Ivan Jorgensen for leading the tour.
